Frontend Automation Tester

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Automation Tester to join one of our key clients in Stockholm. This role suits someone with strong hands-on automation skills, a deep understanding of modern frontend testing frameworks, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and QA leads. Role Overview You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving automated test suites for modern web applications. The role requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive quality throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications. • Work closely with frontend developers to ensure testability and maintain high product quality. • Create test plans, test scenarios, and regression suites for complex UI features. • Improve the existing automation framework and propose architectural enhancements. • Conduct UI and API test automation to support end-to-end workflows. • Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices for test automation. • Track, report, and prioritize defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. • Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met during each release cycle. Technical Requirements Must-have skills (5–6 years): • Strong experience in frontend test automation. • Hands-on with TypeScript or JavaScript. • Solid experience in automation frameworks such as: • Playwright (preferred) • Cypress • Selenium WebDriver (nice to have) • Good understanding of HTML/CSS, browser behavior, and DOM structure. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.). • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.). • Experience with version control (Git). Nice to have: • Experience testing micro frontends or complex component architectures. • Performance or accessibility testing exposure. • Basic knowledge of React, Vue, or other modern JS frameworks. • ISTQB certification or similar.
