Frontend Automation Tester

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Automation Tester to join one of our key clients in Stockholm. This role suits someone with strong hands-on automation skills, a deep understanding of modern frontend testing frameworks, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and QA leads. **Role Overview** You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving automated test suites for modern web applications. The role requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive quality throughout the development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications. - Work closely with frontend developers to ensure testability and maintain high product quality. - Create test plans, test scenarios, and regression suites for complex UI features. - Improve the existing automation framework and propose architectural enhancements. - Conduct UI and API test automation to support end-to-end workflows. - Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices for test automation. - Track, report, and prioritize defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met during each release cycle. **Technical Requirements** **Must-have skills (5–6 years):** - Strong experience in frontend test automation. - Hands-on with TypeScript or JavaScript. - Solid experience in automation frameworks such as: - Playwright (preferred) - Cypress - Selenium WebDriver (nice to have) - Good understanding of HTML/CSS, browser behavior, and DOM structure. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.). - Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.). - Experience with version control (Git). **Nice to have:** - Experience testing micro frontends or complex component architectures. - Performance or accessibility testing exposure. - Basic knowledge of React, Vue, or other modern JS frameworks. - ISTQB certification or similar. **Soft Skills** - Strong attention to detail and quality mindset. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation strategy. - Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle fast-paced delivery environments. **Why Join?** - Work with modern tech stacks and mature engineering practices. - Collaborative, diverse, and growth-oriented environment. - Opportunity to contribute to scalable digital products used across Sweden and Europe.
