We are now strengthening the work of the City Environment Administration in creating safe, equitable, and attractive living environments. Consequently, we are looking for a Development Leader responsible for coordinating, driving, and monitoring the administration's work in collaboration on these issues.
The position is located in the Place Development and Collaboration unit, where we use collaboration and place development as tools for good living environments. In our work on place collaboration, we analyze needs and initiate measures to jointly develop the city. We also contribute to tangible development by prototyping in public spaces, testing, co-creating, and building knowledge on how the city can evolve to better meet our sustainability goals.
This position is a leadership role within social issues, with a focus on safety work at the City Environment Administration. The role involves strategic work and collaboration as well as operational coordination, allowing you to translate real needs into concrete actions. We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in social issues, urban planning, geography, architecture, or another field deemed equivalent by the employer. You should also have at least two years of work experience in a coordinating role/function, along with professional or educational experience in social issues related to urban development.
Documented experience in structured planning and follow-up, as well as leading various operations toward set goals, is an advantage. Experience in working on safety issues in the physical environment is also favorable.

Currently, our workplace at Köpmansgatan 20 is being renovated, where all urban development administrations will gather. The new premises are expected to be completed in 2026 – until then, we will be located at Postgatan 10.
