About this role

Chalmers aims to become one of Europe's leading technical universities. To achieve this, we need to develop not only education and research but also the structures and processes that support our core operations. The Student and Education Department plays a crucial role in this. As one of eight departments within Chalmers' central operational support, we contribute to the university's development by providing strategic and professional support to prospective students and current students, educational leadership, and institutions. We drive development, simplify administration, and build solutions that enhance Chalmers' quality, efficiency, and competitiveness. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that works with analysis, development, and change to contribute to the educational environment of the future. The team is a new initiative within our department and will provide enhanced support to the undergraduate education organization through qualified analysis, environmental monitoring, process development, change management, and strategic quality work. This work is an important part of the development journey Chalmers is undertaking to reach the highest international level. The team is expected to consist of approximately six employees with complementary competencies in analysis, quality work, process development, change management, digitalization, and AI. The team works independently with shared responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and developing the work. To create structure and cohesion, the team will be coordinated by a functional manager – a role that the hired individual may take on depending on their profile and abilities. Your Role You will contribute to shaping and developing the team's mission and working methods. Together with colleagues and departmental leadership, you will drive development and analysis efforts that strengthen the quality of education and support Chalmers' long-term goals. As part of the team, you will have significant influence over how the work is planned and executed. You will collaborate closely with colleagues with different competencies and drive initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include: • Initiating, leading, and following up on analyses, investigations, and development efforts, including the preparation of decision-making materials and reports • Driving change and improvement work in close collaboration with the educational organization • Contributing to building networks and collaborations that strengthen the team's capacity and working methods This role offers the opportunity to influence both working methods and direction at an early stage of the team's development. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is: • Curious – actively seeking new knowledge, ideas, and perspectives • Holistic thinker – seeing connections and understanding how different parts affect the whole • Relationship-oriented – building and maintaining good collaborations across organizational boundaries • Development-focused – enjoying initiating and driving improvements in collaboration with others • Communicative – expressing yourself clearly and explaining complex issues in an understandable way You also have: • A higher education degree, at least a bachelor's degree • Extensive experience in driving development and change work in complex organizations, preferably within the higher education sector • Strong analytical skills and experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods • The ability to translate analysis results into clear and actionable decision-making materials • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English • An interest in working with digital solutions and AI tools for analysis, process development, and information management • A strong ability to work data-driven – comfortable with numbers, recognizing patterns in data, and using analyses as a basis for decisions and development A doctoral degree and experience working within EU institutions or national authorities related to educational issues are meritorious. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with an interest in development and collaboration. You have the ability to see the big picture and drive work across organizational boundaries. Experience leading or coordinating joint work processes is an advantage, especially if you have an interest in – or potential for – taking on the role of functional manager in the team.
