The Department of Biomedicine conducts research and teaching in preclinical and clinical medical subjects. The department is divided into the following four divisions: infectious diseases, microbiology and immunology, medical chemistry and cell biology, and laboratory medicine. Currently, the department has approximately 340 employees and an annual turnover of around 450 million SEK.
**Job Responsibilities**
We are now seeking an Education Administrator who will work with course administration as well as with our donation office. The role also includes administration of a Nordic network for research on infection control and healthcare hygiene.
You will work with educational administration for the department's programs alongside the other educational administrators in the department. The role of the Education Administrator is to manage administration with both high quality and a strong service spirit through proactive work.
Course administration involves a variety of tasks, including: administration in multiple systems, credit transfers, some admissions administration, handling course evaluations, exam administration, results reporting, and scheduling. You will have daily contact with students and teachers and be part of the department's educational administrative group. The work is carried out according to applicable routines and regulations. You are expected to contribute to the development of processes and routines for efficient study administration. The tasks may change over time and be adapted to the needs of the organization.
You will also work with the donation register, which is a personal register for individuals who have chosen to donate their bodies for medical and anatomical education after death, and participate in the internal development of register management. Additionally, you will work with information and communication with prospective donors, their relatives, and other entities. These conversations can be perceived as sensitive and demanding. The work also involves contract management and handling of confidential information.
The position also includes coordination and administration of a Nordic network for research in infection control and healthcare hygiene, as well as organizing a conference that will be held within the network during the year.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent competence/relevant work experience and a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. The position requires good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and demands qualities such as attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and good collaboration abilities. You must be able to work in a structured manner, with good organization and effective prioritization. You should have a very good ability to manage many complex tasks simultaneously. Particular emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Experience in educational administration within a university or higher education institution and knowledge of the laws and regulations governing university education is a requirement. You need to be sociable and have an easy time communicating with different people. It is important that you have a service-oriented approach, and we highly value flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to help others. Since parts of the role involve handling highly sensitive matters, a high degree of integrity and the ability to communicate respectfully is required. Previous experience with record-keeping and handling confidential information is therefore strongly meritorious. Experience in organizing conferences is also an advantage.

The position is full-time and temporary (6 months) from January 26, 2025, to July 26, 2025, with placement at the Department of Biomedicine.
