About this role

Ref: 20252704 Job Responsibilities We are currently seeking a special education teacher with a focus on language, reading, and writing learning for Gullviksskolan. We believe that collaboration between teachers and special education teachers is a key success factor for our students. Therefore, everyone shares a collective responsibility for the students and the teaching by identifying and removing barriers in the learning environment. You will support teachers in their work to identify students' needs and organize instruction that meets all students' requirements. We strive for effective collaboration where the professionals in student health and teachers have the opportunity to work together on guidance, stimulation, and support measures. As a special education teacher with us, you will primarily work with instruction at both group and individual levels. You will participate in meetings where you contribute a special education perspective. You will play an active role in our screening and mapping work, and based on the results, you can analyze which support measures and adjustments are needed for students requiring assistance. In your role as a special education teacher, you can contribute knowledge in investigations concerning special support and action plans. You will systematically plan, implement, and regularly evaluate your efforts. As a special education teacher, you will be part of the school's student health team, where we work both preventively and promote well-being at the individual level. You will closely collaborate with other professionals within the student health team. Furthermore, you will actively participate in the school's ongoing development work. In this development work, we all work together to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school. Qualifications You who are applying have a special education degree with a focus on language, reading, and writing learning. You have previous experience working as a primary school teacher, preferably with early reading and writing instruction. Experience as a special education teacher is an advantage. You possess insight and knowledge in school development and the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in supervision/training, student health work, and in working with documentation—educational investigations, extra adjustments, and special support/action plans. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disorders (NPF), Legilexi, qualifications in Swedish as a second language, and good knowledge of relevant digital tools are advantageous. You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, enabling you to lead and organize work towards the student(s) to create a conducive learning environment throughout the day. Naturally, you maintain a professional approach and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. We warmly welcome your application! About the Workplace Gullviksskolan is a K-6 school with approximately 310 students. The school is ideally located in a residential area and has a beautiful outdoor environment with large green spaces for students to enjoy. In our commitment to work for the best for each student, we have been using IBIS, a structured approach where the entire school staff, from teachers to school management, collaborates to clarify expectations, prevent problems, and strengthen positive behaviors. There is a clear lesson structure, and we expect all staff to adopt a low-arousal approach. The school is characterized by a sense of community, where many teachers have worked for a long time, and we expect everyone to contribute to a good working environment. We focus on collaboration and have high expectations of each other, viewing humility and a learning organization as key concepts in our operations. We see all staff as part of student health, and it is together, regardless of profession, that we work for each student with a focus on preventive and health-promoting efforts. We systematically work together with targeted development work where language-developing instruction is central. The school and after-school care work towards the same development goals. We offer close leadership with school management. The primary school administration is the city's largest administration with about 80 schools, 6,300 employees, and 36,000 students, providing a workplace for everyone. Here, we aim to grow, develop, and challenge each other in our learning every day. We ensure that everyone has a good working environment and invest in leadership. Together, we work for the best school for every student! The student health services of the primary school administration are HBTQI-certified, which strengthens the strategic work aimed at creating a good working environment and an HBTQI-competent and inclusive approach in our schools.
