About this role
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We are growing in line with the municipality's development, with more residents, more housing, and a wider range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Would you like to help shape the security of tomorrow?
As a Security and Preparedness Coordinator in the Culture and Leisure Administration, you will play a central role in equipping our operations for both everyday challenges and extraordinary events.
You will work comprehensively, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and have the opportunity to actively contribute to making the administration safer, more secure, and more future-focused.
Your new job
In the role of Coordinator for Security and Preparedness, you will work both strategically and operationally to develop and drive the internal security work of the Culture and Leisure Administration. You will also be responsible for the long-term systematic fire protection efforts. Since the administration is tasked with establishing, managing, and staffing the municipality's safety points during crises or other extraordinary events, this is a central part of the position.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating and developing security and preparedness work, including risk analyses, planning, exercises, and training within culture and leisure activities. You will serve as an advisor to management, department heads, and employees in the implementation of preparedness efforts. The role also involves being a contact person for external stakeholders and representing the administration in municipality-wide networks. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating preparedness initiatives as well as coordinating relevant networks within civil society. Additionally, you will be involved in training and exercising staff in preparation for operations and activation during crisis situations.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and drives the work forward with an independent approach. You easily adapt to new circumstances and see opportunities in change. In pressured situations, you remain calm and focus on the right issues. You collaborate well with others and communicate clearly and engagingly in both small and large contexts. You have the ability to coordinate groups and become a point of contact for others. With a holistic perspective, you prioritize the best interests of the entire operation and plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
You have education in crisis preparedness or security, or other training/experience deemed relevant by the employer. Your professional experience in security, crisis, or preparedness work has given you a high level of security awareness and a good understanding of risks and vulnerabilities that may arise during a crisis. You are accustomed to expressing yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish, are familiar with using digital tools, and hold a B driver's license. You have experience collaborating with civil society and a good understanding of the role of civil society in the community.
Experience in project management, planning and conducting training and analyses, as well as work within critical societal functions and politically governed organizations, is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have local ties to civil society.
