Additionally, there are four regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and border police, along with a regional office and national departments represented in the region to support police operations. The Malmö police area is one of the police areas in the Southern region. The Malmö police area is divided into four local police areas: Malmö city, Rosengård, Fosie, and Malmö Hyllie. Within the police area, there is also an investigation section, an investigative support section, and a local office. We are now seeking engaged and service-oriented passport officers for both temporary and permanent positions in the Malmö police area. As a passport officer, you play an important societal role, representing the Police Authority and often being the first point of contact for visitors. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in providing service and working with people. Your main responsibilities will include processing applications for passports and national ID cards, as well as issuing travel documents. You will handle cases in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The work demands high levels of accuracy and judgment. The workload can be uneven and at times high, which means that decisions may need to be made under time pressure while maintaining the same high quality. As the face of the police, you are required to be professional with an open and helpful attitude. Since you will be part of a team with several colleagues, it is important to be able to collaborate and contribute to a positive work environment. **QUALIFICATIONS** This is an opportunity for you who have: • Completed upper secondary education • Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing • Excellent ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing • At least 4 years of experience in reception or another service profession involving daily physical customer contact • Good computer skills, meaning the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously It is an advantage if you also have: • Experience in handling/supporting complex travel document cases or similar matters • Language skills beyond Swedish and English **Personal Attributes:** We are looking for someone with a strong service mindset who thrives in a role that requires a pleasant and pedagogical approach. You will work independently as well as collaboratively with your colleagues within the group and the agency. Therefore, we seek someone with good teamwork skills and a willingness to contribute to a positive work climate.
