Do you want to work in a central, supportive, and administrative role within the payroll process? Are you interested in systems and want to help develop our payroll processes? Then this could be the position for you!
About the Role
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be the hub between Barona and our external payroll agency, Aspia. You will be responsible for coordinating, compiling, and quality-assuring all payroll-related information and file management each month. Your work involves collecting, reviewing, and exporting files and documentation from our internal systems, which are then forwarded to Aspia for payroll processing. You play a key role in ensuring that the payroll process runs smoothly and that all information is accurate and delivered on time.
Why is an interest in systems important?
The role of Payroll Coordinator involves daily work in several internal systems. We see great potential in streamlining our payroll process, and the systems are a crucial part of that. A strong interest in systems allows you to contribute to the development and efficiency of our processes while ensuring that payroll management is accurate and smooth for the entire organization.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and compile payroll files and documentation from internal business systems.
• Communicate discrepancies, adjustments, and changes to Aspia.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from internal managers.
• Collect and verify preliminary payslips, reconcile changes on final payslips, and manage vacation pay liabilities.
• Be responsible for onboarding new employees, changes in employment or personal details, and terminations in the HR system.
• Report to authorities such as the Swedish Tax Agency, Collectum, Fora, and Statistics Sweden (SCB).
• Drive the development of systems and processes within payroll and participate in project-related investigations linked to the payroll area.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career, possibly with a vocational education in payroll administration or equivalent experience. You are meticulous, responsible, and have a strong interest in systems and digital workflows. You enjoy administration, are service-oriented, and can easily coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
To succeed in this role, we believe you:
• Have worked/interned in Payroll.
• Have good system proficiency and an interest in developing and streamlining digital processes.
• Have excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Are curious, solution-oriented, and have a strong sense of service.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
