About this role
We are now looking for an engaged colleague who wants to become part of our team in the kitchen at Bockstensskolan. As a chef, you will prepare meals from scratch with seasonal menus and serve delicious and nutritious meals. You will contribute to a kitchen where it is enjoyable to go to work, reduce food waste, and spread joy every day.
With us, you will primarily work daytime, Monday to Friday, but occasionally there are extra fun events at the school, such as tournaments or gatherings. Therefore, you need to be flexible and able to work some evenings or weekends when necessary.
Your workplace will be at Bockstensskolan in central Varberg, but the role may involve assignments at other units within the Food and Cleaning departments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a chef with coordination responsibilities, you will have primary responsibility for:
• The daily operations in the kitchen
• Leading, distributing, and participating in the daily work
• Staff planning and staffing
• Supervision of premises and equipment
• Flow of goods, purchasing, and orders
• Invoices, statistics, and reporting
• Financial responsibility for the unit and the area's receiving kitchen
• Ensuring that meal policies, guidelines, and goals are followed
• Cooking from scratch
• Baking
• Preparing breakfast and snacks
• Preparing special diets
• Testing new working methods, products, and recipes
• Self-monitoring for the kitchen
• Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen
• Orders via digital e-commerce
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who wants to cook with passion and contribute to joy and quality in our kitchens.
Qualifications:
• Culinary education
• HACCP training
• Good computer skills (electronic ordering and nutrition software)
• Proficient Swedish in both spoken and written forms
Meritorious:
• Experience in the culinary profession
• Experience with special diets
