Chef at The Wood Hotel by Elite – Restaurant Mandel & Event
The Wood Hotel by Elite is one of Sweden's most talked-about hotels, located in the heart of Skellefteå and connected to Sara Cultural House, which features five stages, an art gallery, and a theater. Here, gastronomy, culture, and sustainability come together in a unique environment. The hotel boasts 205 rooms, Vana Spa, and three restaurants: Paolos, Mandel, and Miss Voon.
We have an extensive Food & Beverage operation that includes breakfast, lunch, à la carte, conferences, events, and catering. We are now looking for chefs who want to help create memorable culinary experiences at Restaurant Mandel and in our event operations.
The Role of Chef
As a chef with us, you will be an important part of a team in a kitchen where quality, sustainability, and joy at work are central. You will:
• Work in the kitchen at Restaurant Mandel or Paolos and, when needed, assist in the kitchen during large events
• Prepare food according to our recipes, concepts, and routines
• Contribute to maintaining high and consistent quality standards
• Assist with mise en place, production, and service
• Handle ingredients and stations in a structured and hygienic manner
• Collaborate closely with your colleagues to create a positive and efficient work environment
We believe you are:
• A trained chef or have equivalent experience
• Experienced in working in a professional kitchen
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and solution-focused
• A team player who prioritizes teamwork over prestige
• Positive and engaged, with a desire to develop
• Comfortable with hygiene routines and maintaining order in the kitchen
