We are now seeking an IT Technician to be based in Luleå, Kiruna, or Gällivare! IT Department The IT Department's primary task is to provide IT services for the entire Police Authority. As a crucial part of crime prevention and law enforcement, IT is one of the most important tools for enhancing police efficiency and work quality. The IT Department develops and modernizes police technology, with the agency investing heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and cutting-edge technology to benefit citizens and police personnel. IT - Delivery and Support Delivery and Support provides, maintains, and coordinates the technology used by agency employees. This includes supporting all core operational technology such as computers, telephony, network equipment, and radio communication systems. Job Description As an IT Technician in Delivery and Support, you'll have the chance to work with state-of-the-art technology and face unique challenges that make each workday both exciting and educational. You'll work in a dynamic environment, supporting and implementing solutions that directly impact societal safety and security. Your primary responsibilities will include providing second-line on-site support to end-users and implementing technology in various assignments. You'll predominantly work with user equipment like PCs, printers, video conferencing equipment, telephony, mobile phones, and the Rakel radio system. The position involves travel by car, requiring comfort working in the field and quickly adapting to different situations and environments. The work may involve working in physically challenging positions. IT customer desk coverage and standby duties will also be part of the role. Qualifications · High school or post-secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through other means, as assessed by the employer · At least 1 year of recent IT technician experience within the last 3 years · Strong knowledge of IT hardware, such as PCs and printers · Excellent Swedish communication skills (verbal and written) · Valid driver's license with driving experience · Swedish citizenship Preferred Qualifications It is advantageous if you also have experience with: · Issue management systems · Network and server work · Telephony, telephone exchange systems, mobile telephony · Video conferencing equipment · On-site IT technician work in a large organization · IT equipment in vehicles · Rakel radio system and associated peripheral equipment · Customer service interactions Personal Characteristics We seek a service-oriented, confident, attentive, and accommodating individual.
