About this role
Do you want to work as an HR Partner at a world-leading university?
At Karolinska Institutet (KI), you will have the opportunity to collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues and contribute to an internationally top-class operation while working in a varied, content-rich, and inspiring environment.
The joint operational support at KI (GVS) consists of approximately 650 employees, nine departments, and two management functions, one of which is the GVS staff. Within the staff, there is an HR function currently comprising two HR partners and an HR manager who assist the organization with all types of HR-related issues. We work closely together in a non-prestigious atmosphere with open communication in a complex and pleasant environment.
We are now looking for an experienced HR Partner who wants to join our team.
Your Role
As an HR Partner, you will have many points of contact within the organization and assist managers and employees with all types of HR-related questions.
Your tasks will include:
- Work Environment: Drive systematic work environment efforts, follow up on incidents, collaborate with safety representatives, and conduct risk and impact assessments.
- Recruitment: Support managers throughout the recruitment process – from requirement profiles and interviews to advising on hiring decisions.
- Provide support and advice on HR issues such as personnel matters and rehabilitation.
- Interpret and advise on laws, agreements, and collective agreements.
- Drive recurring HR processes such as employee surveys, salary reviews, and development initiatives.
- Be responsible for onboarding and offboarding, including introductions, terminations, exit interviews, and surveys.
- Manage HR administration: employment certificates, minutes, notes, and monitoring of cases.
- Work in HR systems such as Varbi, Primula, incident reporting systems, and the HR archive.
- Compile and disseminate information to managers about HR routines and processes.
In the role of HR Partner, you are also expected to develop the HR function's work by participating in various projects across the entire HR field.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable, along with experience in qualified and broad HR work within a government agency. We prefer candidates with experience and interest in taking particular responsibility in the areas of work environment and recruitment. You have excellent proficiency in Swedish and English and are skilled in expressing yourself both verbally and in writing. You possess strong administrative abilities, handle the Office suite with ease, and have experience and interest in working with multiple administrative systems.
To succeed in this role, you need to have a good initiative and be confident in independently driving HR processes. Given the broad and varied support requested, we appreciate candidates who are non-prestigious and enjoy managing several parallel processes of varying complexity. The work requires good collaboration skills, sound judgment, and a preference for working consultatively and coaching managers and employees. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
