About this role
FA RK Information Management
Do you want to lead and develop the Government Offices' information management and contribute to the development of the archive and registry operations? With us, you will combine leadership with strategic development and digitization of work methods and governance – in an environment with high demands for quality, security, and service.
Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.
The Government Offices assist the government and ministers in their work and consist of the Prime Minister's Office, ten ministries, and the Administrative Department. The agency also includes foreign missions and the committee system. Of approximately 5,000 employees, around 200 are politically appointed.
RK Information Management is one of three units in the newly formed Administrative Department. We are responsible for archives and record-keeping, the development of work methods and IT systems in these areas, as well as oversight of the archives of foreign missions. The unit manages governing documents, information dissemination via secure systems, and Sweden's central register of NATO documents. Our work is crucial for ensuring legal security and efficiency in the Government Offices' information management.
Your responsibilities
As a unit manager, you will lead the operations through section heads and be part of the department's management team. The unit has about 70 employees. You are responsible for planning, governance, and development and drive systematic change work with a focus on digitization and improved processes. The role requires close collaboration with other departments and an open dialogue with ministries on how the operations should develop.
Your background
You have an academic degree in a relevant field, such as political science, law, archive and information science, or public administration. You have several years of experience as a manager in the public sector with responsibility for personnel, budget, and operational development. You are experienced in change management, preferably through digitization, and have knowledge of archive and registry issues. A very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English is required.
Preferred qualifications include training in leadership, experience from the Government Offices or another government agency, and in-depth knowledge of archives and registries.
Your qualities
As a manager at the Government Offices, you have a holistic view and communicate overarching goals, involve others early on, and promote collaboration for unified leadership. You drive the development of operations and work environment, lead change with courage, and encourage learning and initiatives for development, while also developing your own competence and leadership. You focus on results by prioritizing and making decisions, show trust in employees' competence by supporting and coaching, and address problems in a timely manner.
You have good collaboration skills and are accustomed to working in teams. You communicate clearly, are structured and solution-oriented, and can prioritize and make decisions even in complex situations. You are attentive and consider different perspectives.
Other
The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period, based in Stockholm. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
