About this role

F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing also oversees the monitoring of Swedish airspace around the clock, year-round, and directs the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will be part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the global situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit As the Deputy Quality Manager at F 16, you will be part of a solution-oriented team within the Exercise Planning and Cooperation Department (A79). As part of the unit, you will learn a great deal about how an air wing operates and have the opportunity to build a large network both within and outside the unit. The wing staff is the entity that prepares and issues orders for the unit commander’s assignments to directly subordinate units. The primary tasks of the Exercise Planning and Cooperation Department (A79) are to plan exercises at the unit level and to coordinate and implement parts of C F16 cooperation at regional and local levels with actors within total defense. The department leads the unit's audits in military aviation and drives the quality work and communication of the operations. As the Deputy Quality Manager, you will be part of a team that, together with other parts of the wing staff, supports C F 16. Main Responsibilities As the Deputy Quality Manager, you will be responsible for audits in military aviation, which includes planning and conducting audits against governing documents. You will also, together with the unit's Quality Manager, support and drive the quality work of the operations through, for example, general and targeted operational development, deviation and risk management, and contribute to the development of the unit's intranet and other information channels. The position also involves planning and conducting training in the quality area. In the Armed Forces, we always work as a team. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications • Academic education or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English. DESIRABLE • Previous experience in the Armed Forces • Academic education focused on quality, organizational/operational development, improvement work, or equivalent experience • Experience in the field of flight safety • Experience working in the quality area • Experience conducting audits, quality reviews, or equivalent • Driver's license B. Other Employment Type: Permanent position. The Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period. Employment Rate: Full-time Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also operates at other locations, which may involve occasional business trips. Working Hours: Primarily daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during training activities.
