About us The Information Management Unit is a central function in the municipality that supports all committees, boards, and offices in the municipality's systematic information management work. The unit is organizationally placed under the Department of Citizen Services and Administration, which consists of Väsby Direkt, the Information Management Unit, and the Committee Administration Unit. The Information Management Unit employs document controllers and archivists, led by a unit manager. About the position You will take on the role of municipal archivist and serve as a key function in the municipality's information management efforts. You will work both strategically and operationally. Your main tasks include investigating, developing, and managing municipality-wide governing documents, conducting preservation and disposal investigations, providing support to offices in their work, such as with handling instructions, archive descriptions, system documentation, and certain investigations in the area. You will conduct training and perform oversight. You will also manage the archive authority's e-archive (final archive). Traditional archivist tasks may also be included, such as handling requests for public documents, confidentiality assessments, organizing and cataloging work, receiving deliveries and visitors, and maintaining the physical archives of the archive authority. Currently, there is an ongoing move to a shared municipal building. Therefore, part of your assignment will also involve leading and supporting the offices with archiving, disposal, and digitization of the committees' physical documents in connection with the move. You will collaborate with colleagues at the municipal archive, the offices, and the municipal building project. The work is varied and stimulating and involves many contacts with, among others, colleagues in the department, case officers and managers in the offices, IT, citizens, and the e-archive provider. This position is classified at a security level. This means that a security clearance will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Are you the one we are looking for? We are looking for someone who has: - An academic degree in archive and information science of at least 60 credits. - Several years of experience as an archivist in public administration with a broader area of work (comprehensive within the information management field). - Several years of experience in similar tasks. - Experience or interest in managing e-archives as final archives. - Basic IT knowledge and good understanding of applicable laws and regulations within the public sector. It is advantageous if you have: - Experience as an archivist in municipal operations. - Experience as a team leader. - Experience in developing individual archives. - Experience in creating plans and setups as well as leading the relocation of archives. As a person, you are meticulous, goal-oriented, structured, and enjoy organizing. You need to be results-oriented and relationship-building.
