Find out more: www.traton.com Role Summary As a Spare Parts Engineer, you play a key role in keeping Scania vehicles on the road and customers satisfied worldwide. Your mission is to shape and maintain Scania’s global spare parts portfolio—deciding which components become service parts and ensuring the assortment supports efficient repairs, customer needs, and Scania’s long-term strategy. In this role, you’ll collaborate across engineering, purchasing, and service teams to deliver an optimized, cost-effective, and high-quality spare parts offering that drives uptime and strengthens Scania’s reputation for reliability. Job Responsibilities -Maintain and continuously improve the global spare parts assortment to support vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction. -Determine appropriate spare parts breakdown levels together with engineering and development engineers. -Ensure alignment between service methods, product structure, and available spare parts. -Collaborate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Parts & Service, Global Technical Support, and other key stakeholders. -Plan, execute, and follow up assigned activities while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and optimal customer value. -Contribute actively to the Spare Parts Engineer forum to develop competencies and methods across the function. -Drive continuous improvements to simplify and strengthen the spare parts preparation processes. Who You Are • You have strong analytical skills, are thorough, and the ability to take initiative in solving problems. • You collaborate easily across functions and communicate clearly in both Swedish and English. • You understand product structures and have technical product knowledge, ideally from the automotive or heavy-vehicle industry. • You are structured, proactive, and motivated by improving processes and ensuring high customer value. • You are comfortable working in digital environments and have experience with OAS/ECO writing or similar systems.
