The Labour and Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for providing strategic guidance, practical advice, and thought partnership on all employee relations matters to HR and business teams across the Nordics. The role leads consultations and negotiations on workplace issues, collaborates with trade unions and works councils, and ensures compliance through investigations, documentation, and proactive interventions using data analytics. Additionally, the specialist manages case systems, partners with external legal counsel, and serves as the liaison with the Danaher Global Labour and Employee Relations function for complex cases. This is an onsite role based in Uppsala, Sweden. What you will do: • Provide thought partnership, strategic guidance and practical, commercially centered advice on all ER related matters to regional HR and business teams in the Nordics, requiring regular travel and integration into the regional HR network. • Lead information, consultation, and negotiation processes for workplace issues including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, organisational changes, policy rollouts, and collective agreements. • Collaborate with trade unions and works councils across Sweden and the Nordics addressing workplace issues, and maintaining a trust-based relationship with employee representative bodies. • Lead and support on investigations, develop ER toolkits and standard work, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with evolving legislation. • Ensure that all cases are inserted into the case management system (Service Now) and prepare reports for HR colleagues and senior managers. • Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to uncover patterns in employee relations issues, enabling the development of proactive, evidence-based interventions and training that foster a constructive and inclusive working environment. • Engage with external legal counsel and employer associations to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. • The role will also collaborate with the Danaher Global Labour and Employee Relations function which provides core support to Cytiva and will be the liaison for cases that fall within the scope of the Danaher Global Labour and Employee Relations function, including managing the case management data base. Who you are: • Proven labour and employee relations experience over a significant period in a large multinational / international environment / matrix organization. • Sound experience in working & building relationships with works councils / unions. • Experience with case management, change management as well as stakeholder management. • Experience negotiating with employee representatives bodies and writing collective bargaining agreements. • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action.
