Wisbygymnasiet

Wisbygymnasiet has approximately 1,700 students and about 185 employees, of which around 170 are teachers.

We offer 16 national programs, four introductory programs, and a nationwide recruiting education.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for planning and implementing teaching, as well as being a mentor for a group of students. Your role includes actively contributing to the school's development. You will be part of program working groups and subject teams.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing teaching in various subjects within the Child and Leisure program, as well as in the subject of Sports and Health. The subjects include both theoretical presentations and practical components. When students in the Child and Leisure program undertake workplace-based learning (APL), you will visit them and engage in dialogue with the supervisor about the student's progression.

You will also be a mentor for a group of students, which means you have a comprehensive understanding of the students' studies and maintain communication with their homes. Your role includes actively contributing to the school's development.

You are a certified teacher qualified to teach Child and Leisure subjects as well as Sports and Health.

As a person, you are a cheerful, positive, and clear leader with a strong interest in meeting students with varying levels of knowledge and motivation. You recognize students' unique abilities and drives and use your knowledge and creativity to develop both students and the program. You also maintain a positive attitude in your interactions with colleagues, see the strength in collaboration, and demonstrate a strong commitment to your work.

The job requires a high ability to collaborate with colleagues and build good relationships with students. You have the student's needs at the center and employ a solution-focused approach even in challenging situations.

About the Education and Employment Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we in the Education and Employment Administration contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, recreational centers, adapted elementary and upper secondary schools, cultural schools, upper secondary education and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, as well as the reception and establishment of newly arrived individuals. Together, we provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
