About this role

Do you have professional expertise in electrical engineering and automation that you would like to share with tomorrow's colleagues? Here, you will become part of a driven team with close collaboration. Welcome to us! **Your Responsibilities** We are looking for a vocational teacher in electrical engineering and automation. In the Electrical and Energy Program, students are trained to work in electrical engineering or automation, as well as those who wish to pursue further studies in the field. The program is largely practical in nature but is based on theoretical components. The vocational teachers in the program work closely together, co-planning their subjects and teaching across all grades in the program. There are also teachers in common subjects and other competencies such as special education, counseling, study and career guidance, school nursing, and full-time mentoring with whom you, as a vocational teacher, will collaborate. As a teacher at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium, you create conditions for learning and guide students towards their goals. You continuously assess knowledge development and communicate this with the students. You participate in student welfare work and, if necessary, contact parents. In this position, you will also work with students' workplace-based learning (APL). The work with APL involves securing placements, visiting, and documenting students' knowledge development. The role includes participating in or driving development work within the program. Both the Electrical and Energy Program and the entire school actively work on professional development in identified areas of improvement. We are constantly striving for higher quality in our operations. As an employer, we offer professional development within the electrical and energy sector, enabling you to enhance your skills while keeping your knowledge current with industry developments. We offer you the opportunity to study to become a vocational teacher as part of your employment. The position is a permanent role and includes a health benefit. You will have the opportunity to travel within the role and see how electrical and energy education is structured in Europe, as the school has a well-developed Erasmus program. **Your Workplace** Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium (ALG) is a large school with over 1,200 students and 220 employees. Organizationally, the school consists of five principal areas with close collaborations in matters where synergy effects can be achieved. It is easy to reach the school, which is just a short walk from Linköping's travel center. Access by city bus, bicycle, car, or commuter buses from Norrköping/Finspång is also convenient. The school offers certified vocational training in a wide range of national upper secondary programs, with the Electrical and Energy Program certified by Teknikcollege. The school also provides adult education, higher vocational education, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. Our commitment lies in creating a school where students develop to their fullest potential based on their individual circumstances. A high level of knowledge development leading to graduation and employability is the school's goal. **Who We Are Looking For** We are looking for someone with at least three years of work experience in electrical engineering and/or automation who wants to take the next step in their career by educating future professionals. You possess qualified and relevant professional skills in areas such as alarm and security systems, robotics, CAD, or low current. For example, we would like to see that you have worked as an installation electrician, alarm and security technician, automation technician, installation technician, or similar roles. It is advantageous if you have mentored students during APL or held a supervisory role in your workplace. It is also beneficial if you have good contacts within the industry. You have strong communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is essential for organizing and conducting work in accordance with the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25) to support students in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced manner. As a teacher at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium, it is important that you enjoy working with young people and have an easy time building professional relationships with students and guardians. You find it natural to collaborate with various professionals to enhance students' knowledge development. You are cooperative, creative, receptive to ideas, and open to both new research and proven experience in the development of the program. You are clear in your leadership and confident in yourself. **Additional Information** When applying for a position in Linköping Municipality, you register your application by logging in via e-identification (such as BankID or FrejaID) instead of using an email address.
