The Adult Education Program is seeking instructors for YH training to become Operations Technicians.

Approximately 5,500 children/students are enrolled in these programs. The Education Sector also includes Gymnasium, Adult Education, as well as Culture and Leisure. The Adult Education program includes basic adult education, upper secondary courses, Swedish for immigrants, vocational training, higher vocational education, as well as a learning center with higher education studies. Approximately 40 people work in Adult Education. The operations are currently located at Hasselbacken and Röda Nyborg. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to help shape the workforce of the future? As a teacher in our two-year Higher Vocational Education program for Process Technicians in Stenungsund, you will be part of the journey for adult students changing their career direction or seeking to deepen their knowledge in the field. You will teach, plan, and develop the education using both existing and new teaching materials. The position also includes coordination responsibilities for study visits and guest lectures for the courses you will oversee. In collaboration with representatives from the chemical industry and fellow teachers, you will also distribute work-based learning (LIA) placements and visit students during their internships. The education covers subjects closely related to the chemical industry. Courses offered in the program include process technology, process safety, measurement and control technology, chemistry, maintenance technology, group dynamics, and work environment, and you may teach several of these depending on your background. You will teach two parallel classes starting one year apart. There are significant opportunities for you to adapt and develop the course content in collaboration with other teachers and industry partners to match the students' skills with future job requirements. You will collaborate in a team with three or four colleagues. You will also have close cooperation with businesses in the region. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Has education and/or professional experience in process, chemical, or energy technology • Has worked in the process industry, refinery, energy plant, or similar operations • Preferably has experience in education, mentoring, or skills development • Is pedagogical, attentive, and enjoys working with people • Is structured and takes significant personal responsibility • Has good computer skills • Has good collaboration skills A teaching qualification is meritorious, but we place great emphasis on your professional experience and willingness to share your knowledge.
