You are a person with a creative mind, high energy, and drive who wants to inspire those around you. You are passionate about home furnishing and improving customers' lives at home. You have talent in visual merchandising, with previous work experience as a leader in operational retail business and/or as a visual merchandiser.
As an individual, you are open-minded, unpretentious, and responsive, recognizing the benefits of building on each other’s ideas. You are creative and structured, curious, and enjoy working both operationally and strategically, expressing yourself well in both Swedish and English.
Since this position involves personnel responsibility, you are an experienced leader who coaches, teaches, and develops others. Last but not least, you want to embark on a journey to develop IKEA in the local market through commerciality and are not afraid to try new ideas.

**A day in your life with us**
“As a VM manager, I ensure that every day we have a commercial and inspiring store. I talk to my team to clarify what’s going to happen during the day and the week ahead. I ensure that the long-term plan with rebuilds and upcoming implementations with our Launch remains intact. I move on to a department that needs support on how to introduce a new item. During the afternoon, together with the commercial team, I will develop plans for upcoming events to be rolled out. In my role, I am a speaking partner to the entire store and all different functions, so it is important to balance many different assignments and humbly meet colleagues' wishes.”
As a Visual Merchandiser/Activity Manager, you will work both operationally and strategically, and your main tasks will include:
• Contributing to store solutions to secure an excellent buying experience for IKEA customers.
• Planning and executing strong visual presentations that fit the store layout.
• Driving the commercial calendar, shop design, and planning.
• Securing drawings, planning processes, timelines, and budgets.
• Developing and leading your team through togetherness, encouragement, and good communication.
• Collaborating and working closely with other functions such as Sales, Logistics, and Customer Experience on a daily basis.
You will coach and develop a team of visual merchandisers who will report to you.
Please also note that we have a very close cooperation with the IKEA Gävle store!
