We will provide necessary training when you start your employment as a timber measurer. Your training will occur in close collaboration with your manager, colleagues, and quality manager.
Job Description
We are seeking 2 timber measurers: 1 permanent position and 1 fixed-term position until the end of April 2026.
You will work at the Smurfit Westrock measurement station in Piteå, which will also be your duty station. Current work shifts are: Week 1 Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00, Friday 06:00-12:00; Week 2 Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:15; Week 3 Monday-Thursday 07:15-16:00 and Friday 08:00-16:00, with a work time of 38 hours per week.
Your tasks include registration in Viol 3, sampling and control of chips and tree fuel, timber measurement on railway, inventory of round timber as needed, measuring sample/control stacks, chemical registration, and other station tasks such as light cleaning and administration. As a trained timber measurer, you will be responsible for daily station operations and maintain ongoing contact with drivers and customers. Desirable/Advantageous Qualifications:
- Forestry knowledge
- Experience in timber measurement
- Basic English communication skills (not required)
