You will work independently and collaboratively to install, maintain, monitor, and secure the systems that the group is responsible for managing. You and your colleagues in the Signals Protection and Separate Systems section form a team of IT technicians working with separate IT solutions that are subject to security protection. The tasks require you to have good judgment, a high level of integrity, and security awareness. You will have the opportunity to further your education and gain experience in the management of secure IT systems. Handling security-sensitive information is a central part of your work. Skills and Experience: You have a solid background in IT, including knowledge of scripting, virtualization, server administration, Microsoft Active Directory, and Group Policies. Analyzing log files and monitoring systems is familiar territory for you. Pursuit of Development: You are eager to develop and take initiative. Problem-solving and attention to detail are your strengths. Versatility: It is advantageous if you have experience with MFA, networking, application and OS hardening, and have worked with these in security-classified systems. A higher education degree is a plus. Your Background We are looking for someone with a high school education or relevant training for the position. Scripting is a natural tool for you that you use to simplify and automate your work. You have a background in an IT support organization, with good knowledge and experience in virtualization and server administration, where basic network troubleshooting has been part of your work. Your Qualities To succeed in the role of server technician within the area of server security, you need the desire and ability to develop, be meticulous, take initiative, and be responsible. Additionally, you are unpretentious and humble and enjoy solving problems. Other Information We will hire two server technicians. The positions are permanent and will begin with a six-month probationary period. The positions are classified for security, and security vetting with background checks will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
