About the Job
At the Fund Supervision Unit, we oversee the Swedish fund market – an area central to both savers and the national economy. Our mission is to ensure that fund actors comply with regulations, act responsibly, and contribute to a healthy and stable financial market.
As a Financial Inspector in the Fund Supervision Unit, you will supervise fund companies, AIF managers, funds, and custodian institutions. This provides a unique insight into the fund market's functioning and actors, with the opportunity to influence and contribute to a more secure and transparent financial market.
In this role, you will be expected to lead and participate in ongoing supervisory work, investigations, mappings, and in-depth analyses. You will guide development initiatives, promote methodological development within the supervisory area, and take responsibility for handling complex issues with both strategic oversight and deep understanding.
The work involves regular contact with supervised companies, industry organizations, and Swedish and European authorities. You may also participate in international expert groups. You will work on current, varied, and important issues significant for both consumers and society in a work environment that encourages initiative, knowledge sharing, and development. The position offers close collaboration with colleagues across different departments and sometimes even across business areas within the Financial Supervisory Authority.
Your Education and Experience
We are seeking candidates who:
• Have an academic degree in economics, law, or equivalent
• Have work experience in the financial sector
• Express themselves well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
It is merit-worthy if you have:
• Experience from the fund industry, such as management, risk management, or regulations related to fund operations
• Experience in supervisory work or qualified analysis in the field
