About this role
In Falkenberg Municipality, you can make a big difference. Our job is to offer excellent municipal service at every stage of life. We are also involved in developing Falkenberg as a place. Our vision is that we grow towards a sustainable future.
Within the Social Administration's Prevention Unit, Children and Young People, our dedicated Field Activity team meets youth every day where they are - on streets and squares, schools, youth centers, or digital environments. We are there to build relationships, create safety, and identify youth at risk. Now we are seeking a new field assistant who wants to become part of our dedicated team!
WORK TASKS
As a field assistant, you are Falkenberg's voice in the field. You meet young people between 12-20 years old, with focus on those under 18. You create trusting relationships and support young people who need guidance, motivation, or help finding the right support, all on a voluntary basis.
You work closely with other professionals and collaborate tightly with schools, police, SSPF coordinators, and the Culture, Leisure, and Technology Administration. Work occurs both individually and in groups, and can include everything from youth contacts to parent meetings, lectures, and projects like MBU (The Human Behind the Uniform) and Machofabriken.
In short: You are where young people need you most.
Evening and weekend work is included in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates who are social workers or have equivalent education that the employer deems relevant.
We particularly welcome further education and/or experience in areas such as:
• Children's and youth rights
• Influence/participation
• Mental health
• Substance abuse and criminality
• Youth with NPF diagnoses (neuropsychiatric functional variations)
• Experience in youth work, collaboration between different professions and cultures, and comfort speaking to groups.
As a person, you are confident, solution-focused, and relationship-building. You enjoy working both strategically and operationally, and easily adapt to a daily life where no two days are alike. You plan independently, prioritize wisely, and keep calm when many things are happening simultaneously.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability, especially cooperation skills, initiative, and flexibility. In Falkenberg Municipality, we value diversity and different life experiences, knowing that differences make us stronger and contribute to better support for our youth.
A driver's license (B-class) is required.
Why Falkenberg?
Here, you become part of an operation that truly makes a difference. You will participate in developing preventative work together with experienced colleagues and a manager who believes in participation and development, with opportunities to influence both your work and Falkenberg's future.
We are building - would you like to build with us?
