Do You Want to Work as a Personal Assistant and Add a Golden Touch to People's Lives?
In this role, you will make a difference in people's lives and work together with us towards our vision – Everyone Has the Right to a Good Life.
Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals granted personal assistance due to needing help with one or more fundamental needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You will safeguard the client's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine.
About the Position
Your tasks involve supporting a 14-year-old boy at his school alongside another assistant. The client needs help with communication, play, breaks, training, and stretching. Additional support includes meals via PEG tube, transfers to and from wheelchair, personal hygiene, inhalations, mucus suction, etc. The client does not speak, so communication will be through pictures, and you will learn to interpret the boy's sounds and body language. The personal assistant role requires a high ability to build good relationships. We seek someone who enjoys working with others, is engaged, reliable, and responsible. You will take initiative and contribute to smooth workflow.
