About the Job
The Consumer Credit Unit within the Banking Law Department is responsible for supervising that companies in the consumer credit market conduct proper credit assessments and comply with the requirements for sound lending practices, aimed at promoting responsible lending. It also oversees debt collection companies, works on regulation related to consumer credit, and collaborates with other departments on consumer protection issues. You will work on the supervision of regulations for companies, focusing on consumer-protective provisions. You will conduct investigations and perform in-depth analyses. In this role, you will contribute to the development of supervisory methods. You will write reports and consultation responses as part of your work. You will collaborate with other colleagues in the field and other parts of the organization. Additionally, you will have contact with industry representatives and other authorities.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
• has an academic degree in law, economics, or a similar field
• has relevant work experience from, for example, the financial sector or another authority
• is accustomed to and experienced in applying laws and regulations
• expresses themselves well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
It is advantageous if you:
• have relevant work experience from working within credit institutions
• have experience in managing projects, processes, or similar
• have experience in conducting analyses
• have experience in supervision
• have knowledge of relevant regulations for the financial market.
