Do you want to work with signaling technology?
**Job Responsibilities**
Are you currently working in the railway industry and ready to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy a varied workday where no two days are the same? Then this could be the right position for you!
In your role as a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the client organization for railway maintenance in the Central Region, supporting the project manager and project teams in one or more base contracts related to the signaling technology branch. Together with the project manager and team, you will apply the agreements and contracts signed between the Swedish Transport Administration and our contractors/suppliers. You will ensure that the maintenance contracts are followed and that we have a robust, reliable, and safe railway facility.
You will work both in an office environment and on-site at the facilities on a regular basis. One day you may be in the office working with our IT systems, holding physical or digital meetings, and collaborating with your colleagues. The next day, you will be out in the railway facility, assessing its condition, identifying needs for actions, and performing systematic checks of delivery compliance to monitor the contractor's commitments within the signaling technology branch. Additionally, over time, you will have the opportunity to lead smaller projects and investigations—perfect for those who enjoy taking responsibility and developing within their field.
Your work will primarily take place during daytime hours, and while you may occasionally travel for work, overnight stays will only occur in exceptional cases. For those who wish to work partially from home, this position allows for remote work up to 40 percent.
**Your responsibilities include, among others:**
- Analyzing, identifying, and proposing actions. You will analyze and highlight errors, deficiencies, and disturbances, suggesting improvements to ensure a reliable railway facility. This includes report writing and updating maintenance plans.
- Leading technical meetings with the contractor and following up on planned and executed work. Your tasks will include ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with agreements, regulations, and other governing documents. Follow-up will occur both on-site and through our IT systems.
- Supporting the project manager with forecasting, participating in procurements, and contributing to project financial and invoicing management. You will typically participate in project team meetings and serve as an advisor and support not only to the project manager but also as an important resource for the entire team regarding the analysis of the facility's status and needs within the signaling technology branch.
- Communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. You will inform about the project's activities and the facility's condition and needs within the signaling technology branch.
**Additional Information**
Do you want a flexible workday with the opportunity to work from home? In this role, you can work remotely up to two days a week.
