Who are we looking for?
We are seeking YOU who have experience with children and love spending time with them! You are playful, good at anticipating needs, and familiar with low-affective approaches. You feel comfortable with diaper changes and supporting toilet visits. Skilled in alternative communication if the child's verbal language is limited. Personal chemistry between the family and employees is highly valued, so we seek team members with diverse personality types, ages, and leisure interests. We especially appreciate experience with NPF diagnoses (through family or work) - you often have more experience than you realize. We require fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
What does the respite care job involve?
Respite care means working in the home or nearby area to support families with a child with disabilities, allowing relatives to have personal time alone or with other children. The job is comparable to babysitting, but for a child with special needs.
Job Scope?
Positions are hourly-based, with monthly hours varying depending on client needs (from 6 hours/month). This is primarily a side job alongside studies or other work. Services are typically performed in the afternoons, evenings, or weekends when children are not in daycare/school.
