Main Responsibilities of the School Counselor
As a school counselor, you will be a key person in the school's preventive and promotional work. You will be part of the equal treatment group and drive the implementation of the school's equal treatment plan. The position involves supportive conversations with students, both individually and in groups, and contact with guardians. You will closely collaborate with all school staff and be part of the student health team consisting of principal, deputy principal, school nurse, special education teacher, and school psychologist. You will be the hub in collaboration with other societal actors. As the school is relatively new, there are excellent opportunities to help develop the counselor role and the organization.
Qualifications
Who We Are Looking For:
It is meritorious to have a social work degree or equivalent with practical experience in social work. Experience working with or within social services is also advantageous.
You are confident in your professional role and experienced in collaborating with student health and other school professionals. You are proactive and find solutions and strategies at individual and group levels. You are motivated by close collaboration with colleagues and want to contribute to our collegial learning. As a person, you are committed and responsible with a genuine interest in working with children and youth. We place great importance on both your professional skills and your personality.
