Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit organization Föreningen Furuboda. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. Be an Important Part of My Life - Personal Assistant Sought, Approx. 80% in Hästveda
I am a 20-year-old girl seeking new personal assistants. Perhaps you are the one I'm looking for? I live in a house in Hästveda with my family and our cat.
I have a comprehensive disability and need support in my daily life to live as independently and meaningfully as possible.
I am looking for someone who:
• Is responsible, patient, and confident
• Has a genuine interest in helping others
• Sees opportunities instead of obstacles
• Is flexible and easy to collaborate with
• Likes swimming (I swim year-round, at least twice a week)
• Enjoys books (you'll gladly read aloud to me), music, singing, and cartoons
• Is physically active (you need to be able to jump on a trampoline with me)
• Has a driver's license (a requirement since we often go out together and public transportation is limited here)
Your role as an assistant is to be my support in daily life. Tasks include:
• Tube feeding and medication
• Assistance with personal hygiene and dressing
• Support with mobility
• Interpreting and communicating my needs
• Accompanying me to daily activities, leisure activities, medical appointments, family events, outings, shopping, and travels
Work hours are during the day, evenings, and every third weekend. You are needed immediately. During a 2-4 week introduction period, we'll get to know each other at a calm pace, while you receive basic knowledge about epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and alternative communication. Previous experience as an assistant is not required - personal chemistry is the most important! Does this sound interesting? I look forward to hearing from you!
