The employee should have a great commitment to conveying knowledge to students and significant pedagogical engagement. The position is primarily located within the Care for Chronic Conditions section. Work tasks will primarily occur in the department's undergraduate programs, but tasks at the advanced level may also arise. If needed, current work tasks will also be carried out in collaboration with other sections of the department. Subject Nursing Subject Description Nursing is based on a humanistic view of humanity and encompasses knowledge about human development, health, and well-being in connection with birth, illness, suffering, and death. The starting point is to promote a meaningful life despite illness or functional variation and to enable a dignified death. The focus of nursing is to alleviate suffering, promote health, and prevent disease and ill-health at the individual, group, and societal levels. Nursing is based on needs and problems related to health and illness and daily life, but also on individuals' resources and ability to manage their life situation. Work Tasks Work tasks include course responsibility, including course planning for the course "Symptoms and Signs of Illness" in semester 2 of the nursing program. Further tasks include teaching and examination, supervision of essays, and supervision of students during clinical placements. As a course responsible teacher, tasks include course planning, developing and coordinating learning objectives, learning activities, examination forms, and assessment criteria in relation to content, purpose, and current pedagogical research, as well as quality assuring education with validated evaluation methods. Administrative tasks related to educational activities are a significant part of the work tasks. Additionally, tasks include actively working to develop the subject area and collaborating with healthcare regarding clinical placements. Other tasks may arise, and the position's content may change over time. The position also involves actively contributing to achieving the department's objectives and operational plan, which includes working to develop the academic environment within the section's Complete Academic Environment (KAM). Moreover, all employees are expected to participate in planned joint gatherings and activities organized by the department. The applicant must teach in Swedish and English. Qualifications Eligibility for teaching positions is specified in the University of Gothenburg's employment regulations. Completed higher education at least at an advanced level in nursing, care science, or equivalent competence or other skills relevant to the position's subject content and work tasks. Demonstrated pedagogical skills, a nursing degree, and Swedish nursing authorization are required. Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. Note!
