Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic (ENT), Nyköping About Us The Sörmland Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic is a regional clinic operating at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, Kullbergska sjukhuset in Katrineholm, and Nyköpings lasarett. The clinic includes ENT outpatient services, surgical operations, hearing care clinics, speech therapy services, and an administrative unit. Our facilities are modern and well-equipped with video endoscopes and ultrasound capabilities. The clinic trains doctors to become ENT specialists and supervises future general practitioners and emergency physicians who are completing rotations in ENT. Guidance is also offered to students in speech therapy and audiology, as well as to those studying to become medical secretaries. We are an ambitious team eager to share our knowledge. Our clinic has all the advantages of a mid-sized hospital, combining breadth and specialized expertise. Our work is characterized by a focus on improving and developing our operations, with short decision-making paths and opportunities for engagement. We collaborate with Örebro and Uppsala universities, and placements may also be arranged in Stockholm based on individual preferences. Your Responsibilities As a physician with us, you will primarily work during the day with overall responsibility for our ENT patients. Your day will include tasks such as outpatient consultations, departmental responsibilities alongside specialists, emergency services with scheduled appointments, outpatient surgeries, and central operations. Consulting services for other clinics within the hospital are also included. On-call duty (30-minute response time) is part of the role in Eskilstuna. The main workplace is Nyköping, but you may also be required to work at the other hospitals occasionally. Your Qualifications You hold a Swedish medical license and have a genuine interest in ear, nose, and throat healthcare, development, research, and education. Previous experience in ENT services is advantageous. You possess good knowledge of the Swedish language and have passed at least C1 level. We are looking for someone who easily collaborates in interdisciplinary teams with other professional categories. You have the desire, interest, and commitment to operational development and continuous improvement efforts. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and flexible. You are also receptive and possess good communication skills. You have a keen interest in acquiring new knowledge and are willing to share your expertise – you actively participate in rounds and various meetings.
