Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place in elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
Disability services and social psychiatry is one of three departments within the Social Care Administration. The department is responsible for LSS housing, day activities, housing support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are about 250 employees who work with great commitment, focusing on the individual's needs and based on a belief in each person's own abilities. We work purposefully to ensure that our operations have high competence and quality.
Within the department, we promote collaboration between workplaces and continuous professional development. The work is conducted in collaborative groups where resources and knowledge are shared to meet the needs of the operations. As an employee, you have a regular workplace but may also work in other units as needed.
We are looking for an engaged support assistant for our LSS housing, Sven Grathes, for a longer temporary position. The facility consists of five apartments and caters to adults with various forms of disabilities who require support in their daily lives. The work targets group 1.
The temporary position is based on a planned parental leave expected to last from January 2, 2026, to August 31, 2027. The position is 85%.

TASKS
The tasks include providing educational and practical support in daily living, care, medication management as delegated, and social documentation.
Your role is to support our users who have complex and unique needs for security, clarity, and care. You are expected to work based on low-arousal responses and clarifying pedagogy, where it is of great importance to strengthen each individual's belief in their own abilities.
Working with support and service interventions for people with disabilities is a broad, varied, inspiring, and challenging job. The interventions provided must be carried out with respect for each user's needs, wishes, integrity, participation, and self-determination. Support and services should be provided on an individual basis and be tailored to each person so that they can live like others with good quality of life and favorable living conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need to be self-assured and have the ability to inspire others to achieve common goals. You are flexible in your approach and thrive in a changing environment. You are easy to collaborate with and enjoy working both independently and in a team. The work involves many points of contact, and you therefore need to be able to collaborate both within and outside the organization.
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Completed documented education from the child and leisure program, nursing program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Good computer skills and an interest in working with digital tools.
- Since communication and documentation are central and important parts of the operations, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing, is required.
- At least one year of work experience within LSS.
Meritorious qualifications include:
- Experience working in group housing.
- Knowledge of and experience applying low-arousal responses.
- Knowledge of and experience with clarifying pedagogy.
- A valid driver's license (B).
