Temporary School Counselor for Preschool-Grade 6, Full-Time

Töreboda Municipality is now seeking a substitute school counselor to join the municipality's central children and student health team. This position is focused on Kilenskolan and Moholms School. Within our central student health services, we have broad expertise and well-established interprofessional collaboration. Currently, Töreboda Municipality has, among other initiatives, a joint effort with SPSM. Start as soon as possible or by agreement. About You You have a social work degree or other suitable education and preferably experience working as a school counselor. You naturally have great commitment to children and youth. High value will be placed on willingness and ability to collaborate closely in a student health team with various professional competencies. Other valued qualities include flexibility, initiative, and ability to see solutions and opportunities in all situations. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Access to a personal vehicle is desirable. Job Responsibilities As a school counselor, you will be part of the central student health team whose overall mission is to contribute to creating environments that promote student learning, development, and health. In the school's student health team, where you provide psychosocial competence, you will closely collaborate with school management, school nurse, special education teachers, and special educators. Your work will also involve close cooperation with educators, other school staff, and external actors such as social services and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP). Responsibilities include: • Counseling individual students, guardians, and student groups • Working with classes on core values and conflict management • Providing guidance to work teams and individual teachers on social and psychosocial issues • Conducting social investigations • Planning and participating in the school's preventive and health-promoting value-based work About Us Töreboda Municipality is located along the Göta Canal between Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern and has over 9,000 inhabitants.
