Job Description
Ekerö Municipality is in an exciting phase of development! We are growing and have many interesting projects underway. When the Bypass is completed, Ekerö will be even more closely connected to Stockholm – and the opportunities to develop our municipality will be even greater. Here, you will work in an environment that combines historical and scenic beauty with modern urban development. Our planning unit works on everything from urban development projects to small-scale detailed plans, villa densification to vibrant rural development. We are now looking for a temporary planning architect for one year, as one of our colleagues is going on parental leave.
We are looking for someone who wants to step into the role of temporary planning architect for one year – with responsibility for their own projects, detailed plans, and exciting collaborations. You will lead planning processes from idea to reality, in close dialogue with colleagues, developers, citizens, and politicians. With us, you will become part of a creative team of planning architects, development engineers, traffic planners, and environmental strategists, all passionate about sustainable community development. Together, you will drive projects that contribute to realizing our vision of a developing small town with a focus on quality of life, sustainability, and identity.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Establishing planning proposals at all stages
• Sketching and commissioning studies
• Budget responsibility for detailed planning projects
• Coordination of developer-driven plans
• Dialogue and presentations with various stakeholders
With us, you will enjoy the best of both worlds, the proximity to the city's pulse and the tranquility of nature. You will be part of a workplace where engagement, community, and development are at the center. We believe in giving our employees responsibility, influence, and room to grow. Welcome to shape the future of Ekerö together with us!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• At least a bachelor's degree in physical planning, landscape architecture, or a related field
• A genuine interest in community planning and design
• Knowledge of planning and building legislation and how planning contributes to a sustainable society
• The ability to independently drive and lead planning processes
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• A valid B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have:
• Experience in detailed planning work within municipal or consulting activities
• Experience with AutoCAD, Focus Detailed Plan, Plandirekt, or Adobe programs
You have the ability to work independently and in a structured manner, but also appreciate the value of being part of a team where everyone contributes to a common goal. Your drive means you are proactive and ensure that things happen, while also maintaining a solution-oriented approach that helps you find paths forward even when situations are complex. You work well with others by listening, being engaged, and contributing to a positive work environment. We place great importance on personal qualities and how you positively complement the workgroup.
We look forward to your application by December 7.
