About this role
Do you have ideas for the future and are you driven by challenges? In Haninge, you will have the opportunity to develop alongside supportive colleagues who want to make a difference today. We are currently undertaking one of the most ambitious transformation projects in our municipality's history. We are building a new city, about 20 minutes from Söder. Join us on our journey.
Welcome to develop the future of social services with us!
Two of our colleagues are going on parental leave, and now you have the chance to join a team characterized by courage, commitment, creativity, and innovative thinking.
At the LSS unit, we operate under the authority of the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). The overarching goal of our unit is to create conditions for increased independence for our target group. Our operations are conducted in accordance with legislative requirements, political goals, and municipal guidelines. The focus of our work in authority administration is on fair processing, uniform assessments, and follow-up of decisions and approved interventions.
The unit handles cases concerning both children and adults. The assignment involves processing applications from individuals, investigating their needs for interventions, making decisions, ordering services, and following up on the decisions and the effectiveness of the approved interventions. The processing includes meetings with users and their relatives, as well as often with legal representatives. Collaboration with the region, schools, external providers, and other units within the social services administration, such as the Child and Adolescent Unit, is frequent. You need to feel confident in collaborating and participating in meetings with multiple attendees where you will serve as the convener.
Your assignment:
- You will primarily work with LSS and independently process cases and investigate the need for support and interventions.
- Your work will involve receiving applications and conducting investigations to clarify which services individuals need to develop and achieve the best possible independence.
- Daily tasks include documentation, meetings with users, external and internal collaboration, and participation in various meetings.
- Systematic follow-ups to ensure the objectives of the interventions are met.
What we are looking for in you:
- A degree in social work or another qualification that the employer considers equivalent.
- Theoretical knowledge of the LSS and SoL legislation is desirable.
- Experience in public sector authority administration is preferable.
Meritorious:
- Experience with the target group.
Your competencies:
- It is important to us that you are a stable person with strong social skills who can maintain composure in difficult situations.
- You are self-sufficient, positive, and have the ability to take initiative to ensure that work proceeds smoothly.
- You also have a solution-oriented and empathetic approach, and are clear and structured in your work.
- You possess good collaboration skills, take overall responsibility, and prioritize providing a good response, both internally and externally.
- You have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing, and are well acquainted with the Swedish language.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis during the advertisement period.
What we can offer you:
A developing role that engages and challenges you, alongside knowledgeable colleagues and experienced managers. Our office is located in bright, pleasant premises with good parking availability and close to shopping centers, restaurants, and natural areas with swimming, skiing, and running trails, as well as Handen commuter train station. We have access to a gym in the municipal building, wellness vouchers, annual working time, free days around public holidays, and the opportunity for vacation exchange. Currently, a remote work agreement is applied, allowing you to work away from the office two days a week in consultation with your colleagues, provided the operations allow for it. In this role, you will have the opportunity for external case guidance, legal guidance, and continuous professional development.
