Substitute Cleaner/Service Kitchen

Welcome to Blekinge's largest employer, where your opportunities for development are promising. **JOB DESCRIPTION** As a temporary cleaner and kitchen assistant, you will be part of the service unit, which is responsible for managing the cleaning and kitchen operations in Karlskrona municipality's school activities, facilities, and venues. The unit is led by unit managers under the Department of Food and Services. In the role of cleaner and kitchen assistant, you will work to create a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for children, students, and staff. Your cleaning tasks include daily cleaning of schools, preschools, and other municipal premises. You will be responsible for cleaning floors, restrooms, classrooms, and common areas, ensuring that hygiene supplies are replenished and waste is managed according to current procedures. The work requires you to follow established cleaning schedules and use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly. In the kitchen and serving aspect, you will prepare and serve meals to children and students. You will receive and check food deliveries, handle special diets according to instructions, and ensure that kitchen areas remain clean and hygienic. Dishwashing and cleaning of equipment are also included in your daily tasks. You will work closely with kitchen staff and educators to ensure that meals are served in a safe and service-oriented manner. The job requires good communication skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a service-oriented mindset and ease of collaboration. You need to be able to take initiative, solve problems, and contribute to a positive work environment. A valid driver's license (category B) and access to a car are also required, as work may occur at various locations. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Documented knowledge and experience in cleaning - Experience in kitchen/service is an advantage - Proficiency in the Swedish language, with good communication skills in speech and writing - Valid driver's license (category B) We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and strives for common goals.
