About this role

Stockholm - our capital with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we're seeking you who want to think big, new, and differently with us - for the people of Stockholm. Welcome to Us Would you like to join an exciting journey where you can help shape and develop a new school? Lindeskolan is a newly started school since the autumn semester of 2020, when we began with preschool class. Located in Enskede gård, the school is growing from the ground up, and this academic year we have approximately 320 students from preschool class to grade 5. In the 26/27 academic year, we will expand by one grade. We have about 50 employees. As a newly started school, we have the advantage of building a school from scratch. Our starting point is to create a family-like feeling where we collectively take responsibility for a good and pleasant school environment where knowledge and joyful learning are important cornerstones. We have a relational and norm-conscious approach. It's important to us that our students feel safe and happy in our operations. Here, all staff work closely together. Flexibility, lack of prestige, and joy are some attributes that characterize our staff group. We offer an accessible learning environment with the student's well-being in focus so that we can best ensure all students' right to a good education and leisure time. We strive to help students absorb instruction in the classroom and after-school program through general adaptations and varied teaching. Our operations are characterized by structure, clarity, and predictability. At Lindeskolan, we have flexible teaching groups where grade-level teams collaborate closely around students. We apply double mentorship, meaning each student has a teaching mentor and an after-school program mentor. We have a holistic view of teaching, learning, and care. We want to be the school where safety and learning go hand in hand! Your Role We are now seeking a qualified teacher for grades 4-6 with certification in mathematics, English, and social studies for a parental leave replacement. You will teach grade 3 in the spring and then work in the intermediate level during the autumn semester of 2026 for the duration of the replacement until 31/12 2026. Since we are a growing school, there may be a possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team and contribute to giving students a secure and positive school experience. Your view of children is characterized by respect and belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations of students and it's important to you to motivate them and ensure they enjoy school. You preferably have experience working with flexible teaching groups and enjoy collaborating with different professional groups around students. Our current school staff includes leisure educators, teachers for preschool-grade 3 and 4-6, childcare workers, and preschool teachers distributed across grade-level teams from preschool class to grade 5. Staff work closely together and collaborate on teaching, break activities, and care. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach. Your Competence and Experience You should: - Have a teaching certification with qualifications to teach mathematics, English, and social studies for grades 4-6 - Have good experience with formative assessment and grading - Have solid experience working with digital tools and aids - Be well-versed in school policy documents and mission - Be responsible and have excellent collaboration skills - Be flexible, initiative-taking, and empathetic - Enjoy sharing your experiences and knowledge while being open to new working methods It is meritorious if you have several years of experience teaching mathematics, English, and social studies and being a mentor in grades 4-6 You are confident, stable, self-aware, and a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure and other assignments in your role efficiently. We place great importance on personal suitability. Welcome with Your Application Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
