Welcome to develop with us! We are now seeking a substitute counselor for the treatment school Gröna Huset in Haninge municipality!

Gröna Huset is part of the Individual and Family Care's outpatient services and is a milieu therapeutic treatment program with a school component aimed at achieving positive change for youths and their networks.

Here, there are opportunities for every youth and their family to collaboratively change their situation and develop based on their own circumstances.

Target Group

• Youths aged 14-17 who wish to change their situation with the help of active adult support and daily structure.
• Youths who are involved with social services due to their behavior and/or home environment.
• Youths who want to achieve their individually set academic goals through an adapted schooling experience.

Gröna Huset accommodates 10 youths. A placement typically begins at the start of the school year and extends over an academic year. The staff consists of a unit manager, two counselors, and two teachers who work collaboratively.

We are now looking for a colleague who is skilled and confident in engaging with youths and parents within an educational setting. You should be structured, able to prioritize your work, possess good self-awareness, have the ability to collaborate, and demonstrate a strong commitment in your role as a counselor.

In the role of counselor, involvement in our outdoor school in the spring outside of working hours is also included.

This position is a substitute from January 5, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

Your Mission

As a counselor at Gröna Huset, you will work with support, motivational, and treatment efforts with students and their families. Our work focuses on children and youths experiencing school absenteeism and behavioral issues. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and implementing treatment interventions with both youths and their families.
• Maintaining contact and coordinating efforts with our stakeholders both within and outside the administration.
• Writing and working with implementation plans as well as managing documentation.

The work is carried out individually but in close collaboration with the team and other outpatient services.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree in social work or equivalent higher education.
• Experience in government work within social services.
• Experience in family work and motivational work with youths is an advantage.
• Step 1 training is considered an asset.
• A valid driver's license.
