In Filipstad, Barilla produces Sweden's most well-known crispbread under the Wasa brand. The factory has been located in Filipstad for nearly a hundred years and has a long tradition of producing high-quality food. In the past year, significant investments have been made in the factory to secure the future production of crispbread in Filipstad.
Interim HR Manager Barilla
We are now seeking an HR Manager for our crispbread bakery Wasa in Filipstad. This role is a temporary position for approximately 13 months, and we would like you to start in February or early March 2026.
About the Role
The factory in Filipstad employs around 300 people. In this role, you will be part of the management team and contribute to the development of the factory. You will have overall responsibility for people and organization within the factory, ensuring continuous and effective support to management on HR policies and procedures. You will lead the HR team and also be responsible for the staff in the factory's store and staff restaurant.
Your responsibilities will include, among others:
• Budget responsibility.
• Annual planning.
• Recruitment.
• Performance management.
• Competence and leadership development.
• Work on overarching strategic goals.
• Work on organizational improvements.
• Implementation of procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure a good working environment characterized by inclusion, engagement, and motivation.
• Drive internal projects.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and the company's established HR processes, as well as for contract negotiations with local trade unions.
You will work closely with union representatives to ensure good relationships and will play a key role in the transformation journey that the factory in Filipstad is currently undergoing.
Who You Are
Since this role is a temporary position, you need to be able to step in and contribute from the start. Therefore, you should have experience in leadership roles within HR and experience working in a management team. As a person, you are skilled at building relationships and have a coaching leadership style. You are a confident individual who communicates clearly and directly and is fluent in English, as this is the corporate language. You are accustomed to driving projects, thinking innovatively, and implementing changes. We believe you have previously worked in a production environment, and prior experience in food manufacturing is an advantage.

This role is a temporary position for approximately 13 months, starting in February or early March 2026. The location is Filipstad, with some possibility for remote work.
