Temporary Case Officer in Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness

County Administrative Board is an expert authority in areas such as nature and environment, community development, and rural affairs, directly subordinate to the government. We function as a link between people, municipalities, regions, and various authorities. We work to ensure national goals are implemented in the county. We do this by focusing on the overall picture in our official capacity, by disseminating knowledge, and by coordinating and developing various issues. Sustainable development provides opportunities for the future in a Södermanland for everyone. The Unit for Civil Protection and Preparedness consists of eight employees and a unit manager. The unit is responsible for developing crisis preparedness regionally and internally, civil defense, security protection, signal protection, tasks within the nuclear energy area, and risks in community planning. Work Tasks You will work broadly within the area of civil protection and preparedness. You will support the county administrative board's exercise and training activities, which may include participation in various staff training, internal exercises, and regional exercises in collaboration with the county's actors. Other tasks in the position include processing protection object applications, being responsible for Styrel, civil defense with an emphasis on host nation support, and managing support plans for the Armed Forces. Another major task is to support one of the agency's departments in the security area internally. Signal protection, security protection, and on-call duty with readiness every seventh week may be included in the position. The specific content of the position can be influenced by your background and new assignments, and the work tasks will vary over time. As this is a temporary position covering two parental leaves with overlap, we will continuously review the content of this position. Qualifications and Profile You have: - Relevant education, or - Can demonstrate competence with experience in the crisis preparedness field. - B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience of: - Work within state or municipal crisis preparedness. - Participating in and/or conducting exercises, training, and conferences. As a person, you are driven, analytical, attentive, have good administrative skills, and are easy to collaborate with. You should be able to express yourself well verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. About the Position The employment is a temporary position starting January 15, 2026, until March 31, 2027. All positions at the County Administrative Board may be subject to security screening and war-time placement depending on the assignment's design.
