About the job AR Förskolor in Täby, which operates two preschools in Täby, is seeking a substitute preschool teacher for Viggbyholms Preschool. The preschool is located in Viggbyholm with good transportation connections. The educational activities are based on the children's interests, experiences, and needs and should be safe, enjoyable, and educational for the whole child - heart, mind, body, and soul - in our shared effort to achieve the goals outlined in the curriculum. Viggbyholms Preschool is part of Rönnbergs Friskolor, which started in 1993 and has preschools in Täby, Nacka, Stockholm, Nykvarn, and Norrtälje. Each preschool has the freedom to design its activities based on national regulations and local guidelines. The systematic quality work is collaborative, and we use planning and reflection tools linked to the curriculum. We have clear leadership that is open to the thoughts and ideas of the staff. The management organizes collegial networking meetings throughout the year for all preschool teachers. The work involves a group of children aged 1-3 years. You will be part of a team alongside two additional childcare workers, and you will also collaborate closely with other preschool teachers and childcare workers at the preschool. The position is to cover for a preschool teacher on parental leave. You are expected to have the competence to translate the theories in the preschool curriculum into practical work within the preschool. As a preschool teacher, you will be responsible for the teaching at the preschool and, together with the rest of the team, plan, follow up, and develop the education to ensure that each child has the best possible conditions for development and learning according to the intentions of the curriculum. You need to have the ability to form good relationships with children, colleagues, and parents. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for the education at the preschool and are expected to support the rest of the team in implementing instruction and education. Along with your colleagues and in collaboration with the children’s guardians, you should be prepared to take responsibility for the form and content of the education. Together with colleagues and management, you are expected to contribute to the preschool's quality work by planning, following up, evaluating, and developing the quality of the preschool to provide children with the best possible start in the Swedish educational system. We use a synthesis of pedagogical documentation and development pedagogy to make our activities visible in order to analyze and enhance the quality of our work. We are looking for someone who has obtained Swedish certification to teach in preschools through higher education and is well-acquainted with the responsibilities of preschool teachers as defined by various governing documents. To carry out this assignment, you need to have the knowledge and skills to transform curriculum theories into practical pedagogical actions in the daily life of the preschool. This means that you have the ability to create good, meaningful, and educational contexts for children in preschool based on each child's experience, interest, and needs. The recruitment process will start immediately, and interviews with suitable candidates will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The employment will begin in January and continue until June 30th.
