What we do and want
Preschool Vattenhjulet is Tyresö Municipality's newest preschool, completed in 2021.
It is a concept preschool currently accommodating approximately 160 children. The preschool consists of three teams divided into a younger and an older section.
Here, curious and engaged childcare workers and preschool teachers work to create an equitable and sustainable preschool for children and educators. We operate with the Green Flag initiative based on the three dimensions of sustainability: ecological sustainability, economic sustainability, and social sustainability. We are looking for a substitute preschool teacher who is willing to work with children of all ages; experience working with children in need of special support is a plus.
About the position
As a preschool teacher at Vattenhjulet, you will be present and engaged in the children's play as well as in the education and teaching provided. You will support and assist children with hygiene needs, during meals, dressing and undressing, resting, reading aloud, creative activities, and outdoor play. You will be one of several preschool teachers in the team, and together you will plan and reflect on the children's learning and the design of the education.
The schedule is varied, as are the tasks. At Vattenhjulet, we have fun together with the children and our colleagues.
Every Monday, all teams have reflection time, and on Fridays, we have cross-unit networking. We work process-oriented, based on the children's curiosity and sustainable development.
Who are you?
You are a newly qualified or experienced preschool teacher who is curious about concept preschools. You are flexible and want to work with children according to the preschool's governing documents and guidelines.
Experience working in a preschool and with children in need of special support is advantageous.
As a person, you are flexible and able to work with all colleagues, as well as with younger and older children. You need to be open to both opening and closing the preschool. At Vattenhjulet, you must have strong collaborative skills. We have many people under one roof, and all teams support and assist each other. Therefore, it is important that you have good verbal communication skills. The more we communicate, the easier it becomes to manage the daily transitions.
