Welcome to us The Department for Elderly, People with Disabilities, and Social Psychiatry encompasses both purchasing units and service providers. The department includes, among other things, LSS housing, daily activities, care and nursing homes, home care, service houses, day activities, activity centers, as well as housing support, occupational activities, and housing within social psychiatry. Within Area 2 for LSS service providers, there are group housing, service housing, respite care, accompaniment, and personal assistance. The operation's mission is to design interventions together with the individual based on a holistic view of needs and conditions, with respect for integrity and self-determination. The area is divided into three units with a total of approximately 60 employees and approximately 85 PAN employees. We are now seeking a temporary unit manager for Unit 3 as the unit manager is going on parental leave. The temporary position is expected to run from 2026-02-01 (or by agreement) until 2027-02-28. The operations within Unit 3 have approximately 25 employees in total and are located in Tensta. Your Role As a unit manager, you are responsible for the unit's operations, budget, and personnel. You work based on politically set goals and ensure that the operation maintains good quality, efficiency, and goal achievement. With your coaching and operational leadership, you drive, organize, and create conditions for development work within the unit. You are responsible for ensuring that directly subordinate employees have the right conditions and sufficient competence for their assignments. The assignment includes, among other things, conducting employee interviews, salary discussions, and planning and implementing workplace meetings (APT). You report to the area manager and are part of the area's management team, where you contribute your perspective while maintaining an overall perspective for the department, administration, and district's best interests. Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who has: - Relevant academic education in the field, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. - Current experience as a manager in LSS operations. - Experience working in a politically governed organization. - Experience in change management and driving development work. - Current and in-depth knowledge in the field. - Good ability to express oneself well verbally and in writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have worked within the City of Stockholm.
