JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To best describe the role of Acting Unit Manager for Work and Employment, we need to start at the heart of this position: collaboration. The role is built on collaboration at different levels, with the aim of creating the best conditions for our participants to approach the labor market and find meaningful employment. We know that close cooperation and cross-border work, with both internal and external stakeholders, is of utmost importance to succeed.
You will have many collaborative interfaces in this role and will also be part of the social services management team, where you are expected to participate actively and contribute your perspective with a focus on the entire operation.
As Unit Manager for Work and Employment, you will organize, lead, and coordinate work based on trust-based management and governance. From a solution-focused perspective, you will coach your employees and together develop the operation based on politically set goals and budget. You will have operational, financial, and personnel responsibility.
The Work and Employment Unit is a multifaceted and dynamic unit affected by factors such as economic changes and structural changes within other agencies like the Employment Agency. Currently, the activity guarantee is a key focus area.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a leader who, through close leadership and a trust-based approach, creates participation and engagement. You will lead and motivate your employees to achieve the unit's goals. Even when new conditions arise, you see opportunities and guide your employees in the right direction. With your communication skills combined with structure, you create clarity and security in the operation. In this role, it is crucial that you enjoy collaborating with others, both collegially and with external parties. Your ability to build trustful relationships is of great importance.
You have:
• Relevant university degree in fields such as behavioral science or social work.
• Leadership experience from a supervisory function or as a project manager or equivalent.
• Experience working with people in need of support, who are far from the labor market and/or have disabilities.
• Knowledge of labor market interventions and labor market policy processes.
The assignment as Unit Manager is developmentally rewarding in many ways, but also challenging. You will have support functions, colleagues, and your immediate manager to discuss thoughts and questions with, but it is positive if you have the ability to find innovative solutions based on what is available, with the operation's best interests in focus.
Additional requirements for the position:
• Class B driver's license.
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
