Workplace
Ludvika Municipality's Catering Unit has ambitious goals where cooking from scratch is high on the priority list. Opportunities are endless, from schools' work with large-scale kitchen operations, nutrition, and special diets in focus to the more restaurant-like kitchens within elderly care where the fine balance of nutrition and restaurant-quality dishes should meet.
Are you a chef who is passionate about cooking and service? Do you want to help promote a healthy lifestyle with good eating habits for the municipality's primary school students, children, and elderly? Welcome to us! We are seeking a temporary relief chef. Our relief chefs are those booked when staff needs arise in our various units. You will have a base placement in one of our kitchens, where you'll work your day unless needs arise at another unit. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who can also work independently. You should be responsible, meticulous, and accustomed to rapid changes. It's challenging to switch workplaces and be the one who steps in when someone is absent. The Catering Unit has three unit managers with a geographically divided catering area each. All three areas have kitchens for primary school, preschool, and elderly care. One operations manager and one catering developer.
Work Tasks
• Work in large-scale kitchens preparing meals for schools, preschools, and elderly care. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and evening meals.
• All tasks occurring in a large-scale kitchen. Preparation, cooking, serving, baking, dishwashing, cleaning, and goods reception.
• Goods ordering via computer.
• Handling and preparation of special diets.
• Self-monitoring work
Qualifications
You need to have chef training and/or extensive experience from working in a professional kitchen. Good computer skills and knowledge of self-monitoring and special diets. Since guest interaction is important, you should be positive and service-oriented. You should be ambitious, focus on guests, and want to deliver high quality to diners. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. A driver's license and access to a car are needed to travel to all workplaces.

Besides working on exciting tasks in a varied everyday environment, you'll have the opportunity to become part of an organization that maintains important social functions for residents of Ludvika Municipality. As an employee, you'll have access to wellness benefits, excellent opportunities for skills development, and the option to exchange vacation day supplements.
