About the position
You will become an important part of our emergency response team and will work with:
- Managing alarms and carrying out emergency responses
- Participating in drills and training
- Maintaining and caring for materials and equipment
- Performing other tasks within the organization

Qualifications (requirements)
- Ongoing education in Accident Prevention (SMO) and approved for smoke and chemical diving
- Driving license category B
- Approved medical examination according to the law for smoke and chemical diving
Meritorious
- Experience from municipal fire services
- Completed SMO training or older equivalent
- Driving license category C
Recruitment process
Employment tests will be conducted and will consist of:
- High-altitude test
- Claustrophobia test
- Job-related tasks
- Digital skills assessment
Interviews and, if necessary, personality tests will also be conducted in conjunction with the tests.

Fire Department of Northern Dalarna
The Fire Department of Northern Dalarna is a municipal association for the municipalities of Leksand, Mora, Orsa, Vansbro, and Älvdalen, responsible for operational fire services and fire prevention work to protect lives, property, and the environment. The purpose is to meet the requirements and intentions of the Act (2003:778) on accident prevention and to create good conditions for sustainable work with safety and security in a complex society, strengthen leadership capabilities, and increase overall competence.
The association includes 7 fire stations and 6 fire brigades within the five member municipalities and has approximately 40 full-time employees and about 200 part-time employees.
The mission of the Fire Department of Northern Dalarna aims to continuously reduce the number of people injured or killed in accidents, as well as to prevent fires and other accidents that can cause damage to property and the environment.
We are part of the Rescue Region Bergslagen (RRB), which is a collaboration where 42 municipalities jointly manage operational efforts.
