Community Development Administration offers creative dialogue, high pace, solution-focused work methods and gives you the opportunity to drive and participate in evolving community development processes. We are a collaborative administration between Hällefors, Lindesberg, Ljusnarsberg and Nora municipalities with a broad mandate within the municipalities' community development processes.
The administration consists of three main operational areas: technical services, planning and projects, and building and environment.
The administration develops society and the Waste and Recycling Unit has a broad mandate including strategic waste planning, waste collection, and waste reception at our staffed recycling centers in each municipality. The operation's focus is to work with waste prevention measures and sustainable waste management. The department currently consists of 20 dedicated and experienced employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a waste management worker for a temporary position as soon as possible until the end of August, with the possibility of extension.
In the role of waste management worker, you will, together with your colleagues, handle customer reception at the recycling center by informing and helping private individuals and companies to sort their waste. Tasks such as sorting hazardous waste, cleaning the area, and checking fill levels of different waste fractions are also part of the work. Additionally, wheel loader operation and repositioning will be part of your daily routine. Administrative tasks are also partially included in the position.
Work hours are according to schedule, Monday to Saturday, including evening and weekend work. The work is primarily conducted outdoors at our recycling centers. The position is located at Södra Måle Recycling Center in Lindesberg municipality, but work at other locations may occur as we have recycling centers in four municipalities.

QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive in the role of waste management worker, it is important that you can work planned and structured, have an organizational sense, and a pedagogical approach with an ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Being able to take initiative and have excellent customer service skills are of utmost importance. You should enjoy working in an outdoor environment and be able to handle sometimes physically demanding work. You are comfortable working both independently and together with colleagues. A flexible mindset will be helpful as the work area covers half of Örebro County.
We are seeking candidates with, at minimum, a high school education and previous experience in a service profession with customer contact. Previous experience in the industry and an interest in environmental issues is considered meritorious for the position.
A valid driver's license (B-license) and access to a personal vehicle are required.
Training in ADR 1:3, Basic Asbestos, and wheel loader operator certification C2 with goods handling is seen as a plus for the position. Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are important, and additional language skills beyond Swedish are considered meritorious.
